LUCKY FIND

It is so much fun to find these old patterns and to open them up and discover all of their pieces inside. And a even bigger bonus is to find them all unused!  Always a lucky find.

HELLO OUT THERE!! ANYBODY THERE????

I can not wait for the day to come when I get my first comment left on my CRAFTING  blog.  I do not understand why visitor won't take just a moment to say hi and let me know they stopped by.
Gosh it is lonely out here!

ESTATE SALE FIND

I love finding these treasures at sales. I take them home and enjoy them as they are or redesign them into a new useful life,

Wednesday

ESTATE TREASURES

I found this beautiful vintage set of pillow cases at the latest Estate Sale we attended.

I just can't pass up such pretty handy work.  I enjoying imagining what the Lady was like that stitched them.

And were they made for a special occasion such as a wedding, or perhaps a Birthday gift?
I like to think that each stitch was done with love...much like my own are today.

Sunday

I'VE BEEN BUSY!!

I am sorry that I have not posted in a long time but I have been busy with my crafting.

I have been spending many hours working on this pretty embroidery pattern for pillow cases.

I enjoy this type of needle work and I am thankful my fingers are still stitching with ease.

A NEW FUN CRAFT PROJECT

This was a very fun project to do . I spent last summer collecting rocks at all the beaches we visited through out the summer.
The results are my "Meditation Stacks".
You never know what you will make with the treasures from the sea!

A PROJECT FROM THE SEA

This Seashells project was covered with gold spray paint. It looks good on all sides.

Thursday

ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHELLS FROM THE SEA

I have been playing around with some of my seashells to see what kind of crafts I can do with them.
This was just one of my quick ideas I did a few days ago.

I really like these shells with the white line on them.  I think they rank in the top 5 of my favorite shell collected from the sea.

Tuesday

RECYCLED FURNITURE

I FINALLY got around to doing a project that I have been carrying with me during all my moves over several years.
It is vintage piece and I made sure the vintage handles would work on the new paint type.
It is a matching set and they both look real nice on each end of my couch in our living room.
Any time I can refurbish and recycle I am a happy girl. I think it was worth keeping them around all these years.

Wednesday

POPPY POD WREATH

I used  my POPPY PODS by filling a WREATH with all the PODS in my collection.

I attached a beautiful piece of DRIFTWOOD to finish off the section of POPPY PODS.
I like the look of this one.
I had collected these dried Poppy Pods while living in Montana and I am so glad I have finally followed my plan.

I like the results.

Tuesday

I NEED TO FIND MY PASSION AND GO WITH IT!

This is where I have chosen to show my love of crafting. I will show before, during and finally completed projects.
I have made a "TO DO LIST" of all the crafting projects I have been collecting up in my life that I have always dreamed of crafting.  But doing this has given me the opportunity to really look at all the many craft projects that I have wanted to have the time to work on.

Since starting this collecting most of my life I know that I need to weed through all of them and decide what I really want to be doing with the rest of my life and my daily time.

What are my favorite projects?

What really speaks to me?

What really makes my heart happy to spend my time on?

A few crafts spoke to me from my heart. And these are the crafts that are my passion and I want to do them for the rest of my life. They take the least amount of product, the least amount of storage space and the least amount of work space. So they are all working out real well for me!

This is the list I have decided on....

TO DO LIST....
  • CROSS STITCH KITS
  • EMBROIDERY KITS
  • X- POPPY POD WREATHS
  • DOLLS TO DONATE
  • LG. PINE CONE DOOR HANGERS
  • MEDITATION STONES
  • SEA SHELL WREATHS
  • PINE CONE WREATH'S
  • X- TRANSFER BEAD PATTERNS 17 PATTERNS COMPLETED
  • I know this list seems long but I have put many projects in my 'to sell' boxes so I can have time to do my favorites.
After this list is completed the crafts that I will continue with will be...

***Cross stitch projects/ embrodery

***beading jewelry

and most important....

***beading on an Indian loom.

These 3 crafts are the ones that I have decided that excite me the most and feel like they are my true passion.  And I want to continue doing them for many days to come.
It feels good to free myself of so many crafts that really don't feel that important to me. I feel as though a large weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I am free to do my favorite crafts.
What a wonderful Life!
